The tiny details in life intrigue me and draw me in. I love to get lost in the folds and veins of botanical subjects. The overall beauty of an image is always my end goal, but it’s those minute frills, edges, wrinkles and markings that I love to capture. Drawing and painting is my ‘mental yoga’. I am always learning and growing, trying different styles while I continue to try to find my artistic voice.
Watercolor holds a special gift for capturing detail as does oil paint, but in very different ways. Whether I find something I can’t resist in my own garden, in the supermarket, or in the woods, I love to capture the raw beauty and color that nature holds.
